Multi-Track Digital Recording

Sorry, no 8-track cassette recorders in sight.  I record all vocals and acoustic instruments digitally, direct to hard disk with an unlimited number of midi and audio tracks.  This affords some incredible editing possibilities.  One advantage is that cutting, copying, and pasting is a breeze.  Words, phrases, and verses are moved around like sentences in a word processor.  Another fabulous advantage is processing.  One software application I have available is V-Vocal software (see graphic) that can actually put an out-of-tune vocal line in tune.  In the example below, the red line is the original vocal and the yellow line is the corrected vocal.

I restrict recording to a few vocals and guitar and other similar instruments. I am not set up to record bands or drum sets or other large groups in-house. Please call Don Moseley at Sound Of Birmingham Recording Studios for bands and large groups.  I can also use midi instruments to add bass, drums, piano, strings, etc. to your vocals.

I use SONAR Music Production Software to record with.  It is a super program that records MIDI and audio side-by-side and really makes recording and editing easy.  Below are screenshots showing multiple audio tracks, editing windows, and built-in effects and software synths.
