First off, let me say that my business is based on trust.

All it takes is a phone call asking me to do a custom track for you and I get started on it.  I have never asked for a deposit or payment up front and I never will.  Having said that, I do expect payment as soon as you receive your music.  I know school P.O.s take a little time and that is fine.  I have only been stiffed 3 times in 10 years, so I can't complain.

Pageant Tracks are $110.00.  Sorry.  I've had to increase my price.  First time in 7 years.

Extensive arrangements and orchestrations involving many changes and redos will be a slightly higher price.

Some songs (rarely) require me to hire other musicians. Most often this involves a guitar player (I use Jim Wallis. A fantastic guitarist who has toured with several big-name bands and has also been a studio session guitarist in Nashville as well as many local studios; check out the guitar demo clips on the Sound Samples page). There is an upcharge for this which I always discuss with you in advance.

On large projects that include many songs, I usually charge $30.00 per song minute. Therefore, 30 minutes of music would cost $900.00.

Notation/Printed Music.  I can do a printout (sheet music) for that vocal audition, flute solo, etc. when you need it.  I can notate a playable piano part with vocal line, choral music, solo instrument, whatever you may need.  This is quoted on a per-project basis, since all needs are different.  Usually, a vocal line with piano accompaniment (2 minute song) would run you about $80.00.  It is very time consuming and tedious to make piano music look and play "musically correct".  I am a pianist, not just some computer geek, so I know what the final product is supposed to look like.  I use professional software for a beautiful looking piece of music.  Click for an example. (BTW,  I really am a computer geek)

Digital edits and Cheernastics mixes are difficult to lump into a price range because some are very time consuming, but I mostly charge $15.00 per edit with a $30.00 minimum. Some cheernastics mixes will have 6 or 7 edits in one routine but I adjust the price according to the difficulty of the edits. For example, a 5 cut Cheerleading competition routine would cost you about $50.00, rather than $75.00 (5 x $15.00).

Multi-track recording is done on a per-job basis. I don't charge by the hour. I'm pretty picky on what I will and will not record.  I refer most requests to Sound of Birmingham.  Call or visit Sound Of Birmingham Recording Studios to record groups.  A typical acoustic guitar (stereo miked) and solo vocal recording would usually cost $150.00. Click to listen to an example of this.

Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me if you have questions or circumstances that you would like to discuss.
